Clay Pigeon Shooting & World Whisky Tour Day

Explore 4x4 have teamed up with St George’s Distillery, home to The English Whisky Company, to offer the ultimate day out of Clay Pigeon shooting and Fine Whisky tasting. Why not take a shot at this…

You'll start the day off with the most delicious breakfast bacon rolls, before being transported across the largest ring-fenced arable farm in lowland Britain. The stunning Elveden Estate is home to our clay pigeon shooting ground, set right in the heart of the English Countryside. Here, our first class CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) qualified instructors will teach you the art of Clay Pigeon Shooting. 30 shots each will get you breaking clays.

After the morning’s activities, guests will enjoy lunch at the Elveden Inn, a traditional country inn that has been trading since 1894, before spending the afternoon touring the world of whisky.

The World Whisky Tour will begin with welcome tea or coffee, before you head to the distilling floor to learn how whisky is made. This is followed by a visit to the warehouse where you see of how the whisky is stored and smell the divine aroma of the angel's share. Then explore the world of whisky with a series of five whiskies laid out for a guided tasting. Each will be tried and discussed as a group. This whisky tour, one of the best in Britain, comes highly recommended and is a great way to get under the skin of St. George's Distillery.
