Our Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV) Training course is the first of its kind. We are hugely proud to provide the world’s first LANTRA-approved Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV) Operation Training course, alongside our training partners Digital Concepts Engineering (DCE) .
DCE is at the forefront of safe UGV design and operation. Working closely with DCE, who design and manufacture the impressive technology for these vehicles, and using our extensive expertise in 4×4 off-road driving we’ve designed an off-road course for Uncrewed Ground Vehicle professional training.
What We Offer
This four-day course combines theory, legal, and real-world experience with hands-on practical demonstrations and driving of a range of Uncrewed Ground Vehicles (UGVs) from approx. 50kg to over 2 tonnes. The course is delivered over twelve separate modules and is concluded with both a written assessment and a practical assessment by one of our UGV instructors.
Why Should I Attend?
Safe and effective operation of a remote controlled UGV is a function of the operator’s skill and understanding of the vehicle’s capabilities. To this end, Explore 4×4 have developed the LANTRA-certified course, delivered with our training partners DCE, teaching the underlying technological principles of remote controlled UGV’s as well as the practical side of operating the vehicle. As the market for UGV’s grows and their applications spread across industries, this certification is becoming critical to health and safety compliance.
